PURPOSE:To obtain a cast article with a smooth lustrous film by casting a filling material with a casting mold obtd. by coating the inner surface of a casting mold with an SiO2-based prescribed coating material. CONSTITUTION:An SiO2-based coating material contg. <30% Na2O and/or B2O3 is prepd. The inner surface of a casting mold 1 is coated with the coating material and this material is melted by heating to form a smooth coating film 2. A thermally sprayed film 4 is further formed on the film 2 by thermally spraying a material for thermal spraying and a filling material 5 is filled into the mold 1, solidified and released from the mold 1. A cast article with the lustrous thermally sprayed film 4 having a smooth surface is obtd. |
