PURPOSE:To perform proper sterilization without bringing about imperfect sterilization or excessive sterilization by delaying a time entering a sterilizing process by a set time when a judge means judges a cooling mode starting time. CONSTITUTION:The steam from a steam generator 4 is stored in a steam chamber 1b and a sterilizing tank 1a is preheated. Then, the air in the sterilizing tank is discharged by driving a vacuum pump 11 and, subsequently, the solenoid valve A of steam piping 6 is turned ON/OFF to enter a vacuum process wherein steam is sent in the sterilizing tank ia from a steam chamber 1b. Thereafter, the sterilizing process wherein the sterilizing tank 1a is again filled with high temp. and high pressure steam by the steam piping 6 is taken. The temp. of an object to be sterilized is estimated by measuring the drain temp. of a discharge pipe 10 by a temp. sensor 7. In this case, since there is difference between the drain temp. and the temp. of the object to be sterilized, the sterilizing process is taken after a definite delay time is elapsed by a control unit 5. This delay time is set so as to be longer than that in the case of continuous use at the time of the starting of a cooling mode. By this method, imperfect sterilization or excessive sterilization can be prevented. |
