PURPOSE:To enhance sharpness of a medical sensitive material and graininess without deteriorating decolorability of a dye and softening gradation by developing the sensitive material so as to specify an amount of silver to be developed. CONSTITUTION:The title photosensitive material is provided with a layer (B) for fixing a dye decolorable by development processing and absorbing light in a photosensitive region between an emulsion layer (A) and a support, and it is controlled that an amount of silver to be developed in forming an image is 70-90% of the total amount of silver of the emulsion layer, when the photosensitive material is exposed to light 400 times as much as the exposure light giving a transmission light a blackening density of a fog value of +0.1 of the photosensitive material. It is preferred to use a silver halide emulsion containing silver iodobromide flat grains spectrally sensitized in the green light region in the layer (A), and to regulate light transmission density to 0.9-1.5 except for the support, and the layer (B) contains a desired anionic dye and a cationic polymer as essential components. |
