The invention relates to taps (valves). A disc valve 9 manoeuvred for example by a handwheel using a rod 16 and a needle 20, has a means for locking between the wheel 15 and the guide nut 18, which locking means is formed by a pawl 32 engaging under the action of a spring 30 in a cavity 34 made in the base of the handwheel 15. Any involuntary or untimely opening of the cylinder tap (valve) during storage and transport thereof is thus prevented. <IMAGE>
