PURPOSE:To suppress a ventilation resistance to a small value and to enhance oil mean collecting efficiency and oil retaining amount by attaching an air filter having specific thickness and specific filtering rate in the air suction port of an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:When an air conditioner 1 is operated on the ceiling 16 of a kitchen or a machine shop, the air containing oil mist is sucked through a suction port, with part of the oil mist removed by a filter 9, and it is cooled or heated and supplied through an outlet 3. When the selecting conditions of the filter 9 include 4-20mm of thickness, 30-200g/m<2> of filtering rate, 60-90% of mean oil collecting efficiency and 300-700g/m<2> of oil retaining rate can be obtained. Since the oil collection of the filter can be conducted in high efficiency and the oil retaining amount can be maintained high such as 300-700g/m<2>, the oil contaminations of a heat exchanger, a blower can be suppressed as much as possible, and the number of replacements of the filter can be reduced. |
