PURPOSE:To obtain a coating film having excellent toughness, impact resistance and chemical resistance by dipping to coat the surface of a dew receiving tray made of polymer solution polymerized in methanol from vinyl acetate resin to be formed of independently foamed synthetic resin material. CONSTITUTION:When vinyl acetate resin is polymerized in methanol (methyl alcohol), viscous solution of polymer is formed. For example, vinyl acetate polymer solution is filled in a dew receiving tray 1 made of independently foamed synthetic resin material such as foamable polystyrene, the surface of the tray 1 is dipped to be coated with the solution by a dipping method to form a waterproof coating film 2. The remarkably tough film 2 can be formed. This waterproofing process has excellent dimensional accuracy and operability inexpensively, and excellent impact resistance and chemical resistance. |
