摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress the abrasion of the outer peripheral surface of an outer rotor and the inner wall surface of a cylinder which slides for said outer rotor and prolong the life of a coolant pump by spreading the discharge port form onto a housing to a region set close to the sliding part between the outer rotor and the cylinder in the coolant pump using the rotor formed from a trochoidal curve. CONSTITUTION:A pump chamber 3 is formed from an inner rotor 1 and an outer rotor 2, and the curve inside a discharge port 9 is formed into a small circular arc having a radius (r), having the revolution center 6 of the inner rotor 1 as center, and the curve on the outer side is a circular arc having the radius slightly larger than the radius of the outer rotor 2, having the revolution center 7 of the outer rotor 2 as center. Since a discharge port is spread to a region set close to the slidable part between the outer rotor and inner rotor, the force exerted onto the outer rotor by the high pressure liquid coolant which intrudes into a slight gap between the outer peripheral surface of the outer rotor and the inner wall surface of a cylinder offsets the force exerted onto the outer rotor by the high pressure liquid coolant in a pump chamber, and the contact-sliding with a storing force between the outer rotor and the inner rotor is prevented, and the abrasion in the sliding part is reduced, and the life of a coolant pump can be prolonged drastically.
