A moulding (10) of sheet-metal or plastic serves to accommodate the filling mass, by means of which moulding a bottom (12) and a cylindrical side wall (11) is formed. Inside the luminaire stand a stable pot (20) is sealed which forms a space which is designed for accommodating commercially available transformers. The luminaire tube can be plugged into the opening (22) of the pot and fastened. A detachable lid (16) seals the transformer space. <IMAGE>
