Automatic lock for door - extends bolt automatically on entering lock plate

The automatically-engaging lock is particularly for a door, having a catch and a bolt extended through openings in the housing to engage in holes in the lock plate. The catch is thrust into the engaging position by a resetting mechanism. As the lock enters the lock plate, the bolt (3) extends mey automatically into the engaged position. The mechanism extending the bolt can be actuated by the catch (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - Automatically engaging lock enquires no additional bolt and is usable with a coventional lock plate.
