<p>PURPOSE: To terminate a connector on a cable in chain form by situating a plurality of legs to be mutually engaged of each cable terminating cover in the mutually opposed state, and mutually pressing each cable terminating cover by each conductor. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector assembly 10 has a pair of conductor terminating covers 56, 58, and each of the covers 56, 58 is constituted so as to be received near a rear surface 24 and terminate a conductor 48 in a terminal forming part 32 of each contact of contact lines 27, 29. The conductor terminating covers 56, 58 have means for fixing the covers 56, 58 to a housing 20, and the covers 56, 58 form a conductor receiving passage 78 near the rear surface 24, and the passage 78 is constituted so as to pass the conductor 48 between the rear surface 24 and each terminating cover 56, 58. Thus, a connector can be terminated on a multicore cable 45 in chain form.</p> |
