PURPOSE:To weld efficiently a nuclear fuel spacer by providing boxes which are movable to each side surface and both top and bottom surfaces of a frame body in which the spacer can be disposed at the center and mounting laser output units connected to a laser beam source thereto. CONSTITUTION:The spacer 6 is disposed in the central part of the frame body 20 and the respective movable boxes 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, 24a, 24b are respectively set in the positions facing the first weld points of on each surface in the stage of welding the respective parts of the nuclear fuel spacer 6. Laser beams 30a, 30b, when supplied to a beam splitter 28, are made incident on the respective weld points from laser output units 25a, 25b, 25c, 25d, 26a, 26b via fibers 27a- 27f. The boxes 22a, 22b, 22c, 22d, 24a, 24b are moved respectively to the positions facing the 2nd weld points of each surface and welding is executed similarly; thereafter the respective weld points are successively welded. |
