<p>PURPOSE:To position a vehicle without generating the paint crack on the body side by carrying out the positioning in the car length direction by placing front wheels in the longitudinal regulation receiving part of a centering device and placing rear wheels in the longitudinal nonregulation receiving part of the centering device. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle 3 which is held onto the hanger of a suspension- transporting device and transported along a main rail reaches over a transferring device 70 and stops, an elevation frame 78 is raised to an upper limit, and a receiving tool 88 contact the both wheels 37 and 38 of the vehicle 35 support onto the hanger side, from below, and the vehicle 35 is lifted up. Then, the both hanger arms are opening-operated, and the vehicle 35 is temporarily received by the receiving tool 106 of a centering device 72 by the lowering of the elevation frame 78. Then, front wheels 37 are supported onto a longitudinal regulation receiving part 112, and rear wheels 38 are supported onto a longitudinal nonregulated receiving part 142, and in this state, positioning is carried out through the pressing rollers 133 and 163 by the operations of a front wheel width determining device 113 and a rear wheel width determining device 143.</p> |
