METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BUFF FINISH OF TIRE

PURPOSE:To apply beautiful buff finish to a finish surface by partially correcting a tire and subsequently controlling the shaving amount of a grindstone on the basis of a change in the pressure current of the grindstone in contact with the tire. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone device is arranged so as to be able to advance and retract with respect to a tire 11 on the basis of the waveform signal of a tire uniformity and the control of buff finish is performed while a grindstone 12 is allowed to advance and retract by driving a grindstone taking in and out motor 13 and an apparatus reversibly moving servo motor 14 are driven while the grindstone current of a control unit is monitored. After the partial correction of the tire 11 is completed, the driving of the apparatus reversibly moving motor 14 is stopped and the current of the grindstone taking in and out motor 13 is monitored and buff finish is finished at the point of time when said current drops to the current value at the time of racing. By this method, buff finish work can be efficiently performed and a beautiful finish surface can be obtained.
