Medicinal paste containing a) a substance or mixture of substances from the group of polyvinyl esters, polyvinyl ethers, polyvinylpyrrolidone, copolymers of vinylpyrrolidone and at least one vinyl ether and/or at least one vinyl ester, where the ester and/or ether functionalities in the homo- and/or copolymers can be unhydrolysed or partly hydrolysed, optionally mixed with other water-soluble and/or water-insoluble polymers, b) a gel-forming component, c) a solvent and d) optionally ancillary substances and additives.
