PURPOSE:To simplify a printing pressure adjusting operation so as to shorten a time required for a printing operation by a method wherein two or more regulators, which are set so as to vary the pressure applied onto cylinders corresponding to the kind of printed boards, and a selection device, which selects any one of the regulators, are provided. CONSTITUTION:If a printer is put in a manual operation mode with a manual key 51, and when 'MANUAL OPERATION' is selected at an image of 'MANUAL SELECTION' on the display of a CRT 60 and then a SET key 48 is pushed, an image of 'MANUAL OPERA TION' appears. On this image, a printing pressure data corresponding to the printing pressure to be used is selected through a cursor key 47, and when an operation key 52 is pushed, not only the printing pressure data is stored in a RAM 55 but also a printing pressure setting operation is executed so as to set the printer to the corresponding printing pressure. That is, if a CPU 54 judges that the printing pressure data specified on an image is within a range of data corresponding to printing pressure switching solenoid valves 38-41, it confirms if the printing pressure switching valve which gives the printing pressure designated on an manual image is in operation or not. If the CPU 54 identifies the solenoid valve as one which gives the printing pressure concerned, it stops operating, but when it finds the solenoid valve different from that required, all the printing pressure switching solenoid valves 38-41 are closed. |
