The invention relates to an air transportation device (1) for a gas-sampling tube (11) for the detection of foreign gases or suspended matter in the air, consisting of a device element (2), as handle, having a control rod (4) which is lockable and guided in a passage channel (3), which rod is connected at one end to bellows (5), as the suction element, having an air-outlet valve (7). The invention achieves an unambiguous establishing of stroke beginning and stroke end for the suction process, so that an exact reproducible stroke volume is guaranteed.
