PURPOSE:To rapidly form a density co-occurrence matrix by forming an image shifted from an original image by a specified distance, forming data obtained by forming the data of respective picture elements of the original image and the data of respective picture elements of the shifted image as a series of bit string, and counting up the number of picture elements in each value of the formed data. In this hardware processing, the processing can be completed by one scanning after the formation of the shifted image.
