PURPOSE:To select a desired character pattern by reading recorded discrimination data by a reading means and judging the same. CONSTITUTION:(n) kinds of character fonts 1-n are stored in a font ROM 213 containing (n) character sets and bar codes B1, B2-Bn are also stored in the ROM 23 corresponding to the character fonts 1-n as discrimination data for discriminating the respective character fonts. A bar code reader 27 reads the bar code corresponding to the character sample selected from the photo-sample recorded on recording paper from an output part 28. A printer 28 records the character sets and discrimination data in the font ROM 23 on the recording paper and uses the selected specific character set to record the recording data sent from a host computer 1 on the recording paper. |
