PURPOSE:To position a ball nut in a housing in simple and correct ways by assembling the housing of a steering device and inserting a pressing member through an opened port part from outside the housing and pressing a bearing. CONSTITUTION:A steering rod 2 is accommodated in a housing 1, and the connecting edge 2a for a steering wheel of the steering rod 2 is projected from the opened port part 1d of the housing 1. Into the housing 1, a ball nut 8 for transmitting a steering power to the steering rod 2, bearing 11 for supporting the ball nut 8 in turnable ways, and a pressing member 14 for pressing the bearing 11 are accommodated. After the housing 1 in which the steering rod 2, ball nut 8, etc., are accommodated is assembled, the pressing member 14 is screwed from outside the housing 1. Therefore, the bearing 11 is pressed through a contact member 15, and the ball nut 8 is properly positioned. |
