摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain an opitically acitve beta-halolactic acid having high optical purity advantageously on an industrial scale at a low cost by treating a dihalopropionic acid with a haloacid dehalogenase. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be produced by treating an alpha,beta- dihalopropionic acid (e.g., dichloropropionic acid) with a 2-haloacid dehalogenase preferably at pH7-9 and 30-40 deg.C. The above enzyme is preferably the one originated from Pseudomonas putida 109 strain (FERM P-2631) to attain high specificity.
