Safety switch arrangement for maintaining a limit, which is predetermined by a progressive classification into classes of explosion-proofness, to the operating temperature of a canned motor. The canned motor (2) protected by said safety switch arrangement can be operated in two or several classes of temperature, depending on whether the canned motor (2) according to the present invention has two or more switches (3, 4), responding to different temperature thresholds and arranged in a location which is representative of the surface temperature; only the switch (3 or 4) which is relevant for the class of explosion-proofness chosen at a particular time is used as a signal transmitter for said safety arrangement.
