PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a tension reel by coupling an edge position controlling cylinder for fine adjustment of a main body integrally with a retracting cylinder for moving the main body inside and outside a line while locking hydraulically the retracting cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In a tension reel for taking up a strip-like plate 9 into a coil with tension, a retracting cylinder 30 for moving a main body 6 having a take- up drum 7 inside and outside the line in replacement of the reel is operated by a circuit 34 to move the main body 6 together with an edge position controlling hydraulic cylinder 25 through a piston 31, a piston rod 32 and a mounting seat plate 24. In takeing-up of the plate 9, the piston rod 32 is advanced and further locking is carried out by a high pressure locking circuit 35 so that edge position controlling circuit 33 is operated by the signal of a phototube 10 during taking- up to follow up the main body 6 with the action of the hydraulic cylinder 25 and take up the plate with the end faces of the coil being aligned with each other. Thus, two hydraulic cylinders are interconnected to simplify the construction with one cylinder working as a base with hydraulic locking. |
