WATER PASSING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce water passing sound regardless of feed water pre-s sure by providing an inner pipe, a flexible element forming a part of the inner pipe, an outer pipe, a pressure chamber formed by the flexible element and the outer pipe and a communicating path of the pressure chamber and an inner path of the flexible element. CONSTITUTION:A gate operating valve 11 is adapted to control the water quantity by rotating a disc valve 13 by the rotation of a gear motor 16. At this time, the turbulence of water flow is caused on the downstream side of the disc valves 13, 14, and when water flows in a water passing device 5, the turbulence is damped by a flexible element 7. Though in the flexible element 7, the turbulence of water flow is transmitted to a pressure chamber 9 through a communicating path 10 separately from water flow passing in the interior thereof, the transmission of turbulence of water flow to the pressure chamber 9 is delayed by the fluid resistance, so that there is a time difference of pressure between the inside and outside of the flexible element 7 and the flexible element 7 is displaced in the radial direction by the differential pressure to damp the turbulence of water flow. When the feed water pressure is high and the opening of a faucet 18 is reduced, though high pressure is applied to the inside of the flexible element 7, the line pressure is applied also to the pressure chamber on the outside of the flexible element 7, so that the flexible element 7 is extended to keep damping effect without losing elasticity.
