Wall members C of a curtain wall are mounted to a building by making use of vertical sections 3 formed on the respective wall members. A wall member having a continuous vertical section formed thereon is mounted to a lower portion of the building. A guide jig movable along the vertical section of the already mounted wall member is detachably connected to upper and lower portions of a new wall member C<1> to be additionally mounted. The new wall member is moved up by raising the guide jig along the vertical section of the already mounted wall constituent member by cable 44 winched from the roof of the building. Then, after the new wall member has been mounted to the building, the guide jig is lowered along the vertical sections of the new wall member C<1> and the already mounted wall members C. Thereafter, the above-described respective steps are sequentially repeated, and thereby a plurality of new wall members C<1> can be mounted sequentially from the lower portion of the building to the upper portion thereof.
