A convertible passenger vehicle having lateral doors and a passenger compartment is provided with an integral, dimensionally rigid cover which extends approximately at the height of the belt line of the open vehicle body and with the exception of an elongate cutout for the driver closes off the entire passenger compartment, at least one front subarea and the lateral subareas of the cutout are surrounded by a viewing pane of low height. …So that the cover functions well, whilst being of simple design, and permits the passenger compartment to be entered and exited comfortably, the cover produced from plastic is pivotably mounted on the vehicle body by means of hinges.
