PURPOSE:To automate the production of welded products of cylindrical members having good quality by notching the welding section of one of plural pieces of the cylindrical members, joining and juxtaposing these members and irradiating the notched section with laser light, thereby welding the members. CONSTITUTION:The circumferential surfaces of plural pieces of the cylindrical members 1, 2 are joined and are juxtaposed. These members 1, 2 are laser welded to each other. The notch 1' or aperture is, thereupon, formed to the welding section of at least one member 1 of the members 1, 2. The notch 1' or the aperture forming section is then irradiated with the laser beams 10, 10' to form molten parts 5, 5', by which the members are welded. The production of the welded products of the cylindrical members having the good quality is automated in this way. |
