PURPOSE:To safely continue operation of an internal combustion engine by stopping high pressure fuel in its supply to each accumulator piping connected to a fuel injection valve in trouble, when it is generated in each fuel injection valve set up in every cylinder of the multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:High pressure fuel, after it is supplied through an accumulator pipe M1, is injected from many fuel injection valves M2 provided appearing in every cylinder of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. Here the accumulator pipe M1 is set up in a large quantity. While in every accumulator pipe M1, many fuel supply pumps M3 and fuel control valves M4 are respectively provided to be arranged. Further a trouble detecting means M5 for each fuel injection valve M2 is additionally provided. When a trouble is generated in any of the fuel injection valves M2, a control means M6 controls the fuel control valve M4 in the accumulator pipe M1 connected to the fuel injection valve M2 in trouble, stopping supply of the high pressure fuel. Thus, running safety or the like is improved without stopping the internal combustion engine in its operation. |
