PURPOSE:To shorten the detection time of synchronization discordance and to improve decision error rate by processing a synchronizing pattern signal inputted externally in a storage circuit so as to the output number of errors as a data. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing pattern extraction circuit 11 extracts a synchronizing pattern and when the extracted synchronizing pattern is inputted to a storage circuit 13, the number of direct errors is outputted as a data from the information of the synchronizing pattern versus error number stored in advance. The number is compared with a permissible value and if the number exceeds the permissible value, a decision circuit 15 outputs synchronization discordance information and when the number is within the permissible value, the synchronization coincidence information is outputted. Thus, the synchronization discordance detection time is shortened without increasing mis-frame rate and the decision error rate is reduced. |
