WETTING AGENT

PURPOSE: To obtain a wetting agent comprising a sulfonated unsaturated fatty acid salt and a specific compound such as an alkoxylated alkyl alcohol and being stable to an alkali and readily biodegradable. CONSTITUTION: This wetting agent comprises (A) an alkali, ammonium and/or an amine salt of a sulfonated 12-22C unsaturated fatty acid and (B) an alkoxylated alkyl and/or alkenyl alcohol represented by the formula [R is a straight-chain or branched 3-22C alkyl or alkenyl; (n) is 2-4; (x) is 2-10] and/or an alkali salt of a 4-22C alkylsulfosuccinic acid mono and/or a dialkylester at a weight ratio of (11:1) to (1:11). The wetting agent in an amount of 1-30 g based on 1L alkaline breaching solution is added to the alkaline breaching solution containing an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide.
