Class 137 Apparatus for delivering a gaseous medium, e.g. air, to enclosed spaces and which regulates the relation between the supply of conditioned and non-conditioned air comprises an insulated metal plate casing 6 which is supported on angle irons 1, 7, 26, 39, and which is divided by a flexible valve band 17 into an upper compartment 13 for bye-passing non-conditioned air, and a lower compartment which accommodates either a heater, or a cooler, or a humidifier unit for conditioning the air. The lower wall 62 of the casing may be removed by undoing screws 65 to provide access to the inside of the casing. Air enters the unit through an inlet opening D, F, and passes either into the lower compartment through an opening E, F, between an adjustable angle plate 35 and a front wall 33 of the valve band 17, or into the upper compartment between the valve band 17 and an upper wall 15 of the casing 6, the outlet openings for the upper and lower compartments being at A, B, B, C, respectively. Mechanism for raising or lowering the valve band 17 to vary the proportions of conditioned and non-conditioned air includes a rod 25 which connects the valve band 17 to a pivoted lever 45 rotatable by hand operated levers, not shown. The rod 25 engages in one of a number of holes 47 ... 50, in the lever 45 to allow for different adjusting movements of the valve band 17. A rod 51 connects the lever 45 to an insulated valve disc 5, which is adapted to open or close an outlet opening 59 in the lower compartment in unison with the opening or closing of the inlet opening to this compartment. In a modification, the lever 45a and the rod 25, Fig. 2, are arranged so that a further turning movement of the lever in a direction to close the inlet opening of the upper compartment, after the latter has been closed will force the valve disc 5 into contact with the outlet opening 3a and entirely close the passage of the conditioning means.
