<p>A bogie for railway vehicles has steering axles (5) connected horizontally to the frame (4) (of the body or of the bogie proper) by means of levers, connecting rods, tie rods and struts (9) which permit longitudinal forces but not torques to be transmitted between the axles and the frame. For steering purposes, the two axles may be independent of each other or may be connected to each other and/or to the bogie frame and/or to the vehicle body. A retaining device (24) is also provided for modifying the resilient characteristic of the steering movement of the axles, so as to adapt it to the line and the preselected speed range.</p> |
