PURPOSE:To equalize a crossing a crossing angle of a part, whose diameter is expanded, with a rest angle by preventing encroachment of reinforcing fiber of a part, whose diameter is to be expanded, upon an inner pipe layer, by a method wherein a pitch of the reinforcing fiber is set up so that the cross angle of the reinforcing fiber becomes the rest angle in a general part and pitches before and behind expansion of the diameter become a fixed relation in the part whose diameter is scheduled to expand. CONSTITUTION:An inner pipe layer 3 is formed, for example, of EPDM as a molding material by an extruding machine 21, introduced into a braiding machine 23 as it is and a reinforcing fiber 6 made, for example, of polyester is driven into a circumferential surface of the inner pipe layer 3. Hereupon, a pitch Y1 of the reinforcing fiber of a part whose diameter is to be expanded is made Y1=Y2XX2/X1 when a pitch of a part whose diameter is expanded is Y2, provided that a cross angle of the reinforcing fiber becomes a rest angle in the pitch Y2, the diameter of a general part of the inner pipe layer and that where it is expanded are respectively X1 and X2 and a cross angle alpha of the general part whose diameter is not expanded is set up at 108 degrees (rest angle). Then the outer pipe layer 7 is covered by an extruding machine 27 by passing through an adhesive agent applicator 25 and drier 26. Then a flexible mandrel 22 is pullsed out, cut into unit lengths, an odd-shaped mandrel 15 is inserted, vulcanized and made into a product by pulling off the odd-shaped mandrel 15. |
