<p>An improved wheel end valve assembly (11) for a Central Tire Inflation System have a single connection (72) to a tire chamber (74) and a single connection (66) to a source of pressurized fluid, which requires no venting other than through a single supply conduit (62), is effective in response to pressurization and venting of the supply conduit (62) to open and close communication to a tire (12), and to isolate the tire (12) if inflation pressure thereof falls below a minimum reference pressure. A controlled bleed of air between the control circuit and the isolation circuit is provided by an elastomeric disk shaped, one way valve (300) having an orifice (316) formed therein which is self cleaning when the valve is actuated.</p> |
