SPECIFICATION Title of the Invention: APPARATUS FOR FORMING CORRUGATED FINS FOR HEAT EXCHANGERS An apparatus for forming a corrugated fin for a heat exchanger, which comprises a pair of confronted gear rolls for roughly forming a strip metal plate into a wavy shape, and a pair of screw shafts rotatably disposed in parallel with a feeding passage of the roughly formed strip metal plate and on opposite sides of the feeding passage, the respective screw shafts being provided with helical blades on the outer peripheries thereof, the blades serving to compressively form the strip metal plate into a wavy shape having a predetermined fin pitch, by being brought into contact with valleylike portions of the strip metal plate and an apparatus for forming a corrugated fin for a heat exchanger, in which there are further disposed tapeattaching mechanisms for adhesively attaching tapes to opposite sides of the corrugated fin.
