PURPOSE:To attain the equivalent handling of the camera to that provided with connecting an apparent large capacity memory by adding a compression/ expansion circuit of a picture data in the inside of a solid-state memory device. CONSTITUTION:In the case of storing information to an IC memory 8, two kinds of methods storing the information to the IC memory 8 through a compression circuit and storing the information directly to the IC memory 8 are provided and a changeover switch 9 is provided to allow the selection by the user at pickup. Thus, the IC memory 8 with a large capacity is considered to be connected apparently. |
