摘要 PURPOSE:To provide the title system so designed that an excess solution- detecting sensor is equipped at an effluent channel for discharging excess nutriculture solution through the bottom of an artificial culture medium, and when the excess solution is detected, feed of nutriculture solution to the culture medium is stopped to accomplish sufficient oxygen feed. CONSTITUTION:A container with a slot at the bottom is packed with rock wool as an artificial culture medium, on which seedlings are planted. The rock wool is fed with nutriculture solution from the relevant tank 13 via a feed tube, excess nutriculture solution being discharged through an effluent channel 9 at the lower part of the container. The end of the channel 9 is fitted with a triangular water-absorptive cloth with its lower part widened. When the cloth is impregnated with the excess nutriculture solution, it is detected that the excess solution has been passed between the two electrodes 11 of an excess solution-detecting sensor 12. The feed of nutriculture solution from the relevant tank 13 is then stopped. Therefore, as the artificial culture medium is not always be dipped into the nutriculture solution, sufficient feed of oxygen can be accomplished, preventing development of e.g. root rot.
