PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in operatability, by setting up a device capable of holding a distributor body rotatably to the engine and another device capable of adjusting and securing the turning position separately. CONSTITUTION:The nose of an adapter housing 7' having an insertion hole 7a' is inserted into a cylinder head 8 and secured to the head 8 with a bolt 11 while a wedge ring 10 is fitted in a groove 2d formed on a body housing 2' to be inserted into the insertion hole 7a' and the body housing 2' is so held on to the adapter housing 7' as to be rotatable at will. And, a locking spring 5a is inserted into a tapped hole 2c of an arm 2a' attached to the body housing 2' and screwed up with a screw 5 while a rotary shaft 3' attached to a distribut or 1 is fitted into the body housing 2' with some play, transmitting rotation of a cam shaft 9 to it. With this, even if the screw 5 is rotated and ignition timing adjusted, fixation between the distributor 1 and the cylinder head 8 will not come loose at all. |
