METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GENERATING COMPOSITE PICTURE

PURPOSE: To obtain the composite image of high resolution in real time by interpolating the composite image to by control data arrays from two auxiliary images formed with low resolution. CONSTITUTION: The two auxiliary images are formed of pixel arrays of digital data to the same low resolution by an ordinary method. Respective pixels of a mask are labeled with one of control values C1 -C5 and an exposing method is indicated with four high-resolution pixels P1-P4 among the low-resolution pixels. The images are scanned with the low resolution when inputted and an operator monitors the image and determines the relative array of the image to be seen with high resolution on a finish page. A microprocessor reduces it to low resolution temporarily and assembles it to reduce its storage space. Then the assembled page is interpolated to the high resolution and outputted through a scanner; and this process can be performed in real time.
