PURPOSE:To synchronously rotate a workpiece gear and a gear type grinding wheel and conform the phases or obtain a defined phase difference by providing the phase difference detecting device between a workpiece gear and a gear type grinding wheel, a circuit for operating phase converting quantity in the circumferential direction, a phase converting pulse generating circuit and an adder. CONSTITUTION:In a hardened gear finisher for carrying out finishing by synchronously rotating and engaging a workpiece gear with a gear type grinding wheel, a phase difference detecting circuit 32 detects the phase difference in the engaging condition between the workpiece gear and the gear type grinding wheel, while a circuit for operating a phase converting quantity in the circumferential direction makes the phase difference detected by the phase difference detecting circuit 32 zero or a defined phase difference. A phase converting pulse generating circuit 35 outputs a correction pulse corresponding to the phase converting quantity obtained by the circuit, and an adder 37 adds a correction pulse outputted from the phase converting pulse generating circuit 35 to the workpiece gear or the driving motor 39 of the gear type grinding wheel and outputs same. |
