PURPOSE:To obtain an expandable composition to which a suedelike touch can be given by a simple process without the necessity of buffing, by adding a blowing agent to a mixture of a vinyl chloride resin, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer resin and an acrylic resin and foaming the mixture by heating. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of 5-25wt.% (in terms of nonvolatiles) vinyl chloride resin (a vinyl chloride homopolymer or a copolymer containing at least 50wt.% vinyl chloride), 70-95wt.% (in terms of nonvolatiles) ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (e.g., an emulsion of a vinyl acetate content of 70-95wt.%) and 5-35wt.% (in terms of nonvolatiles) acrylic resin is mixed with 2-50 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. total nonvolatiles, plasticizer, 1-50 pts.wt. blowing agent, 20-50 pts.wt. filler, 3-10 pts.wt. pigment, 0.5-5 pts.wt. blowing accelerator and 0.5 pts.wt. stabilizer, etc., and the obtained mixture is foamed by heating to form a foam of a suedelike touch. |
