The two opposing walls (1) of the instrument are plate-shaped, pliable and/or foldable, and are made of compressible cardboard. When no striker part (3) is enclosed, they can be packed as a flat unit. - When the striker part is fitted on one or both walls, they are bent outwards. By alternately pushing together and drawning outwards the outer parts (29 of the instrument, the deg. of bend of the walls is varied. The outward drawing of the outer parts causes the striker part or parts to come in contact with the opposing wall, producing the requisite sound. |
