摘要	A dovetail wedge (41) for retaining electrical winding within a dynamoelectric machine stator core comprises an interlaminar roll construction of at least one ply of an epoxy glass sheet (47) and at least one ply of a woven aromatic polyamide sheet (49), the polyamide sheet completely surrounding the epoxy glass sheet. Pref. the wedge is made from a spirally wound laminate of resin impregnated epoxy glass sheet and woven aromatic polyamide sheet, the polyamide sheet being outside and surrounding the epoxy glass sheet. The wound laminate is pressed to the wedge shapes. The wedge must be able to withstand radial force without splitting.
