PURPOSE:To accelerate the regeneration of the esophagoepithelium of an accident by intrusion of cells into a collagen layer and to slip down a silicone tube in a relatively late period so as not to remain in the gullet by using the artificial gullet formed with the coating layer of collagen on the outside surface of the silicone tube. CONSTITUTION:The silicone tube is put into, for example, a glass tube in order to form the collagen coating layer on the outside surface of the silicone tube. A 1% solubilized collagen soln. (pH3.0) stirred for one hour under the condition of 3,000rpm is poured between the silicone tube and the glass tube and is frozen at -20 deg.C. After this soln. is vacuum dried, the dried collagen is heat treated for 24 hours at 105 deg.C in a vacuum. The artificial gullet is thereby produced. The cells, therefore, infilter the inside of the collagen layer in the early period after an operation and propagate actively to regenerate the tissue, thereby accelerating epithelization. Since the collagen layer alone has no cavity holding power in the gullet, the silicone tube maintains the physical strength before a wound treatment is completed. The silicone tube slips down after the completion and does not remain therein. Foreign matter which is the cause for granulation or inflammation does not, therefore, exist any more. |
