PURPOSE: To provide a multipurpose wrapper by comprising an adjusting means for adjustably determining the mount positions of a lower flap and side flaps for forming an envelope of adjustable thickness and which is open at its top side, and securing an upper flap to the remaining flaps to selectively close the envelope. CONSTITUTION: A wrapper 10 is made of a soft material 12, a central area 14 reinforced so that it is not torn, and a plurality of wing-shaped flaps 16, 18, 20, 22 are formed by this material 12. The side flap 16 is folded onto the central area 14 first, then the other side flap 18 is folded to be overlapped to the side flap 16, and they are firmly fastened by a fastener 24. Then the lower flap 20 is further folded onto the folded side flaps 16, 18. Whereby an envelope which is open at its top side, is formed. A fastener 26 may be provided on the side flap 16 surface at a side opposite to the fastener 24. Then another removable fixing means that is, a fastener 28 is engaged with the fastener 26. The size or thickness of the wrapper 10 can be adjusted by an adjusting means according to the size of an article to be enclosed therein.
