VIDEO SIGNAL RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

The video signal recording/reproducing apparatus includes a first switching circuit for exchanging 2-channel component signals at intervals of nH (n:any integer, H:horizontal scanning period) to obtain two combined signals each containing the 2-channel component signals which appear alternately at periods of nH. A first delay circuit delays one of the two combined signals by nH so that the same kind of signals appear at same timings in the two comtined signals. The two comtined signals, one of which is delayed by nH, will not be interfered with each other by crosstalks which will occur in the subsequent circuits including recording and reproducing heads.
