ELECTRO MAGNETIC DEVICE FOR ACTUATING A PLUNGER TYPE CORE

The arrangement has an electromagnet coil on a cylindrical core of ferromagnetic material and at the ends ferromagnetic limbs connected mechanically and magnetically to the core. The crosssection of the limbs tapers towards their free ends. The coil former has parts for alignment of the limbs. The limbs are splined to the core and the end flanges of the coil former have ratchet parts cooperating with ratchet parts on the casing. The limbs have support faces for resting on seats on the casing. The electromagnet and the casing are joined via the ratchet parts and the seats.
