PORTABLE WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM

A portable water purification system (10) comprises a reverse osmosis unit which is for domestic use and is connected to a water supply faucet (20) to provide purified water which is discharged into a storage container (46). The reverse osmosis filter (12) is housed in a portable box (54) together with flexible conduits (18,44,50) which connect it to the storage container and the water supply faucet. Pref. the unit includes a solid filter on the upstream side of the reverse osmosis filter and an adsorbent, esp. activated carbon, on its downstream side. Pref. the conduits and connectors are stored on a removable tray (76) located within the unit.
