The subject of the invention is a device for connecting electrical conductors. The device of the invention comprises an insulating base 1 into which a contact blade 2 is inserted, one end of which comprises a central hole 6 in which is positioned a connection and locking screw 7 as well as, inserted into the said base 1, a parallelepipedal contact block 3 provided with a central hole 11 and with a cut flat 9 obtained by facing (chamfering) one of of its edges, corresponding respectively to the said hole 6 of the contact blade 2 and to a cut corner 5 of this blade, these elements interacting between them in order to form, in the base 1, a well 12 into which the free end of the conductor 22 to be connected is inserted, before coiling the latter around the said connection and locking screw 7. The invention can be used in devices for connecting electrical conductors, of the terminal-block type. <IMAGE>
