<p>PURPOSE:To retrieve a key word at a high speed by performing a process in terms of a pipeline based on the text character string information on the large number of character strings. CONSTITUTION:A text search unit 117 performs a character string retrieving process to retrieve a single or plural key word character strings out of the text character string information stored in a main storage 101. In this case, the information on a candidate character string group including the key word character strings and their similar character strings is detected out of the information on the text character string. Then the information corresponding to the key word character string is selected out of the information on the obtained candidate character string group. Then the detection of the candidate character string group is processed in terms of a pipeline. Thus it is possible to select the large number of text character strings, to obtain the information on the candidate character string group, and to retrieve characters at a high speed.</p> |
