Improved rucksack, of the type including a back 4 and two shoulder straps 10 which can be adjusted and whose ends 11 and 12 are fastened, respectively, to the top and to the bottom of this back 4, characterised: - in that the top of the back has at least one strap 13, 14 fastened on either side of the axis of symmetry 1, 1' of this back, so as to clear two free lateral areas 17, 18 on each side; - and in that the end 11 of each shoulder strap 10 intended to be fastened to the top of the back 4 includes a means 25 capable of sliding, being positioned and being immobilised along the free lateral edges 17, 18 of each of the two straps. <IMAGE>
